Knockouts

Knockout mouse model is a laboratory mouse in which researchers have inactivated, or "knocked out," an existing gene by deleting portions of the gene’s DNA sequence, or by replacing the gene with an altered DNA sequence. Knockout mice exhibit modifications in phenotype (observable traits) and thereby provide important clues about the function of individual genes. Mice and humans share many genes in common. Hence, information from knockout mouse models can shed light on the biological roles of specific genes as well as on the involvement of those genes in human disease.

Mouse
Strain Name:C57BL/6JSmo-Cckbrem1Smoc
Strain State:Sperm cryopreservation | Cat. NO.:NM-KO-190609
Research Application:This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor for gastrin and cholecystokinin (CCK), regulatory peptides of the brain and gastrointestinal tract. This protein is a type B gastrin receptor, which has a high affinity for both sulfated and nonsulfated CCK analogs and is found principally in the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract. A misspliced transcript variant including an intron has been observed in cells from colorectal and pancreatic tumors.

Strain Name:C57BL/6JSmo-Ccl1em1Smoc
Strain State:Embryo Cryopreservation | Cat. NO.:NM-KO-190009
Research Application:Immune-related
Mouse
Strain Name:C57BL/6JSmo-Ccl11em1Smoc
Strain State:Sperm cryopreservation | Cat. NO.:NM-KO-191181
Research Application:This eosinophil-specific chemokine is thought to be involved in eosinophilic inflammatory diseases such as atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, asthma and parasitic infections.
